Codependents often enable others due to their fear of being rejected or abandoned. They may hold the belief that by consistently offering assistance, regardless of its negative effects, they will ensure the other individual’s affection and companionship.

Releasing the need to prioritise the needs of others above one’s own can be both challenging and invigorating, resulting in a fresh chance for personal development and self-exploration.

A healthy relationship is one in which both partners actively support and encourage the other’s personal growth and development.
